JUST MILK Posters for SPACE, Portland, ME
Two variations of the official flier for JUST MILK, promoted by SPACE in Portland, ME. The concept for the first poster was to represent the space of the venue, Peaks Island, ME, as an intricate, milk spill. The left-side of the spill reveals a mysterious silhouette, representing the dream-pop artist. The second concept was a free-experimentation, collaging found photographs and using the milk pouring to convey the natural beauty and dark-romantic side of the artist's sound.
Poster Series for Movies
Combining both my passions for movies and design, I designed a system of 3, swiss-style posters for 3 movies: Psycho, Pulp Fiction and Trainspotting. I was inspired by the heightened scenes of each of these films. I superimposed the most provocative scenes from each of these movies, on top of the lead character's face at the beginning of the movie, to foreshadow their journey throughout the rest of the film. This includes the iconic, shower scene in Psycho, as well as the overdose of Mia Wallace in Pulp Fiction.
Boston Calling 2013 Poster Series (2021)
My system for uniting a 3-poster series for Boston Calling Music Festival's past lineup, playing with censor bars to cover the band members' faces, juxtaposed against poppy, optical illusions, putting the listener in the trance state of the music, while keeping a united theme throughout all 3 designs.
Boston Calling 2019 Poster Series
My initial system for uniting a 3-poster series for Boston Calling Music Festival's 2019 lineup was inspired by 90's grunge show fliers, the many facial expressions from the featured artists, as well as hand-drawn type and monotone colors.
